How Passport by Investment works
An independent comparison of citizenship by investment programmes, with a detailed guide for each country.
What we publish
This site compares the programmes. Each country then has its own guide, on its own address, with its rules, costs and process: argentina.passport-by-investment.com, which also carries news, and dominica.passport-by-investment.com so far. The others follow.
How we check facts
Every figure links to its source, official sources first: the programme’s own website, the government gazette, the law. Each fact carries a label:
- Official: in a law, a decree, an official gazette or a government or programme website.
- Reported: from reputable press or legal publications, not yet in official text.
- Pending: announced or enacted, but not yet in effect, or with its details not yet published.
Every fact on the site was checked against its source on or after ; each country shows its own date on the comparison page.
Independence and relationships
This site is not run by, endorsed by or connected to any government or any of its agencies. Its editorial content is decided by its editors alone.
Its publishers work with firms in the citizenship by investment industry. Readers who ask for a conversation with a licensed adviser on the contact page, and agree to it, are referred to one, and the form says so before anyone sends it. Some of those firms advise governments. When a page refers you to a firm, it will say so on that page. No relationship changes what a fact’s source says or how it is labelled.
Not advice
Nothing here is legal, tax, immigration or investment advice. Programme rules change, and the options finder is not an eligibility check. Before acting, read the official texts and take advice from a licensed professional.
Corrections
